If you’re new to the world of blogging, you might feel overwhelmed or scared. After all, there are so many little things to consider when producing a successful site. Before you start breathing into a paper bag, take a minute to get your bearings. Think about why you wanted to start a blog in the first place and move ahead from there.

Radice states that a blog can help you push your personal brand and gain a following. It’s impossible to do this, however, if you don’t really care about the content you’re producing for your audience. That’s why the first tip for new bloggers is “Find Your Passion.” Think about what you want to accomplish and go for it! One thing to remember though – promote yourself 80% of the time and talk about others 20% of the time. After all, the web is all about starting conversations and you can’t do that if you aren’t open to talking about (and with) others.
