Need ideas to hang stuff on wheel chair.
Pearl,
If you are sewing or crocheting, you can make a large pocket and sew in half down the center or in thirds to separate. Attach a loop tie to each end to go over the handles on back. Another idea is to make a small rectangular lapghans with a large pocket (big enough for a paperback book to fit) sewn to the top of the lapghan.make two ties, one for each side to tie to the armrests. The lapghans keeps the person warm, protects their clothing from food spills, and allows them to carry a book, phone, glasses, etc. in the pocket. I was in a wheelchair for many months and took care of someone in one for many more months and found both of these invaluable. I now make them for others to make their lives a little easier. Good luck!
You can Google charity lapghans for patterns. This is how I found the pattern I use. If you are crocheting, I would highly recommend using a love knot to make the ties on whatever you make instead of the way the pattern reads. They are much better ties and if you loop them through the corner and and pull through on the lapghans they are removable for when not needed. I will try to find the site where I got the pattern and put the link on here.
I make items of tatting and smocking.
