Prepare Now For Fall Craft Shows

June 7, 2014 by CreativeIncome

I know it may seem early in the year, but fall craft show season will be here before you know it. If you’ve got little people keeping you busy all summer, you will need to start preparing now so you can relax a little later on.

If you find yourself saying  year after year, “I’m going to start sooner next year,” let this article be your reminder to get moving now.

What do you plan to sell at the shows this fall? What new items will you add to your collection? What new materials or colors will you use? Take time to sketch out new ideas, source new products and order what you need to make your inventory.  Need inspiration? Consider adding some of these Year Round Best Sellers.

You might be wondering how you will find craft shows in the first place. Keep in mind that some shows have been around for a while and may have the same vendors year after year. This can make it difficult to get your foot in the door. Also, there are lots of shows that are juried, meaning you have to apply to participate. Be sure to consider a few shows as “back ups” just in case you can’t get into one or two that you apply for. Check out How to Find a Craft Fair for insight.

If you start preparing for your fall craft shows now, you can work at a more leisurely pace and not feel as frazzled or stressed.
