It takes a lot of time, effort and money to grow a business. In fact, some people may decide to quit his or her “day job” and pursue their business endeavors full time. That’s great and all, but not everyone has the luxury to make such a big change. That’s when you have to start juggling, prioritizing and organizing.

In a post for Etsy’s blog, Kimberly Palmer lays out some simple steps for simplifying your life. No, you don’t have to quit your job or take out a second mortgage. With just a few simple tweaks to your day-to-day schedule can make a huge difference. Take a deep breath and take her advice – your business will flourish and your loved ones will thank you.
Kimberly’s first tip is to get organized. She writes, “A single calendar hanging in the kitchen is probably not going to cut it.” Instead, she suggests using a collaborative, easy-to-access calendar to record daily tasks and appointments. Google Calendars are great because you can access them anywhere. She also explains that it’s important to say no and ask for help when you need it. Neither is a sign of weakness! Know how much you can get done and work toward that goal as opposed to some mythical idea that is probably impossible to acheive.
