How to Make Money Blogging

November 30, 2017 by Maggie 4 Comments

To blog or not to blog. That is always the big question isn’t it? The most important part of the answer is whether it would be worth it for you.

Blogging can be great for your crafty business, but it’s also a lot of work. Only you can decide for yourself if it would be worth it for you or your business to start a blog. If you do decide that a blog could be worth the time for you, there are some other ways you can make it worthwhile instead of just as a promotional tool for your business.

I found this craft article on CrafterMinds that talks about making money from blogging – yes, it’s entirely possible! Lots of bloggers do it, and while it is not their only means of income, make money off of it. There are lot of different ways that bloggers can write for money, but the main way this happens is through freelancing and sponsored posts. You spend all that time practicing your writing skills, it only makes sense that people would want to work with you (and your readers).

This article on How to Get Lots of Paid Blogging Gigs from CrafterMinds lays out what you need to pay attention to when it comes to looking for freelance jobs and how to make the most out of your position as a craft blogger. A great read!

Have you ever been paid to write an article or blog post? How did you manage to get that gig?

Blogging takes time to become profitable. You need to setup the blog, post regularly and make connections with your readers. As your blog becomes more successful, sponsored blogging opportunities are available. You can also use the blog to sell certain merchandise related to the craft topic.
