Do you try to make cute price tags for your projects or fancy little labels on the computer? Would you like to do that in your own handwriting? It’s totally possible and easier than I ever would have imagined.
I stumbled across this very detailed tutorial on The Thinking Closet about creating a font in your own handwriting and using it as your blog signature, which is a great idea. But having a font in your own handwriting (providing your handwriting isn’t chicken scratch like mine) could be useful in lots of other ways too.
Using a font in your price tags or labels that is your own handwriting instantly brands your creative business. No one else has your handwriting so you’ve just created your own branded lettering. How cool is that?
I have yet to try it, but it seems so easy. You just print out a form on MyScriptFont.com and fill it in. When you’re done, scan it into the computer and you’re ready to type away after a few more quick steps.
You can check out the full tutorial over on The Thinking Closet!
What would you use your custom font for?

Thanks for making a great tutorial! I’m practicing my handwriting right this moment!
This is SO great! I used their upgraded version, PaintFont, and it worked beautifully! I am using it to teach children’s church kiddos about Bible translation. I created a shape code! So easy to print out Bible verses, instead of handwriting it all in code. Thank you!
