You decided to start making money with affiliate marketing. Congratulations! It’s a great and easy way to monetize your blog and generate income from your online business. However if you want this adventure to be a success there are 5 mistakes you should avoid.
1. Lie to a company
The worst thing you can do is not be honest about different aspects of your business. Don’t lie about how many followers you have or how big is your newsletter list is. It might earn you a few dollars but in the long run it will damage your reputation.
2. Not being true to your business
When you promote someone else’s goods or services make sure they match your business and audience. Don’t promote anything that is not in high quality or reliable source. Don’t sell yourself to make a few bucks. If your business is about selling jewelry don’t promote laundry detergent because it has nothing to do with your business or your audience.
3. Copy content
When you promote a product or a service don’t copy paste the information about it from Amazon or other affiliate sites. Be authentic! Write about it yourself and describe why you like it and why it’s good. The more authentic you’ll be the more your audience will be convinced to buy it and your commission will be higher.
4. Using it too often
If you fill your blog with affiliate promotions or links your audience might see that as “selling out”. You’ll give them the feeling that you are writing for money more than you are writing for them. There’s nothing wrong with earning money but don’t lose yourself in it to a point where you forgot why you have a blog in the first place.
5. Not having a newsletter
If you want to succeed in affiliate marketing you have to have a newsletter. Work on increasing your list all the time because the more people on the list the more income you can generate.
I hope you’ll learn from these mistakes and improve your affiliate marketing!

I use Instagram as a platform for promotion my business. It’s very popular today and people can see what you have. Also it’s easy to communicate and just share fun with people. But in the beginning it was very difficult to gain audience. I use zen-promo.com because it has special algorithm that can find people who can like stuff you upload. i think it’s fine thing to do but not often. You need to mix all approaches. How do you think?
